What if the AI tool could work with the files already on your computer?
The Claude Cowork agent allows you to give Claude access to a selected local folder on your computer and work with the files inside it. Access is granted to the folder approved by the user, and not to the entire drive automatically.
For example, you can select a folder containing several reports and ask it to go through them, compare the data, identify changes, and prepare a new file based on the existing materials.
For example
"Review the June and July reports in the folder, compare them, and summarize the main changes that require inspection."
The practical advantage is that you don't need to choose and upload each file to the chat separately before you start working. You grant access to the relevant folder and specify what needs to be done.
