A client meeting ends with decisions, tasks, and documents that need to be forwarded for further handling. A few days later, it is no longer always clear who committed to what, what the deadline is, and which issues are still awaiting a decision.
In Google Meet meetings where the feature is available, Gemini's "Take notes for me" feature can document the main points of the conversation and compile a summary, decisions, and next steps in a Google Docs document. The feature is available in eligible Google Workspace plans, and your organization's administrator can enable or restrict it. In meetings where Host Management is enabled, only hosts can start or stop the note-taking.
Sample prompt:
"Based on the meeting summary, prepare a table including the topic discussed, the decision made, the follow-up task, the person in charge, and the completion date. Separate between decisions made, proposals raised for discussion, and open issues. Do not add commitments or deadlines that do not appear in the summary."
Before sending the document to the client, it is important to compare it to the original summary and ensure that no professional reservation, condition for execution, allocation of responsibility, or document not yet received for further processing has been omitted.
How do you currently document the tasks that come up in meetings?
